Serra (セーラ Sēra?, Sayla in the manga adaptation) is a minor character that appeared in the CROSS ANGE Rondo of Angel and Dragon television series and its manga adaptation. She is the first Norma whom Angelise met.

Skills and Abilities

Like all Norma, Serra cannot interact with the Light of Mana. While this also means that she cannot use Mana, it does, however, give her the ability to destroy anything made from Mana just simply by making physical contact with it.

On the day before Angelise's Baptism, Serra and her mother were stopped by a Police Officer outside a restaurant who crouched down to touch the barrier. Bolts of static electricity appeared, on the other hand, Serra managed to destroy the barrier when she crawled to the edge of it despite protest from her mother in order to protect her from persecution. Angelise gasped as she saw Serra break the Light of Mana.

Being told by the First Princess Angelise Ikaruga Misurugi that Norma aren't human, but "things" was the last straw for her mother. During the parade for Angelise's Baptism Ritual ceremony, her mother was seen distraught. Although after the truth of Angelise being a Norma came to light, her mother thought that Angelise deserved what she got. (CROSS ANGE: "Fallen Princess")

Serra's further fate is unknown, but as she was taken to Arzenal, it is possible she became a casualty during Julio's attack on the island.

  • Her name in the manga is transliterated as Sayla. The name Sayla may be a reference to Sayla Mass, a character from Sunrise's Gundam franchise.
  • It is presumed that Ange deeply regrets for enforcing Serra to be taken from her mother after realizing that she is a Norma herself.
